Frequently Asked Questions

For Contractors
What is an umbrella company and how does it work?

An umbrella company employs you (the contractor) and handles all payroll, tax and National Insurance contributions. You submit your timesheets to us, we invoice the agency/client, deduct the necessary taxes and pay your net earnings directly.

Joining is simple. Just fill out our contact form and someone will be in touch. We will then go through the steps for uploadIing your documents, IR35 status checks and PAYE setup.

We process payroll weekly or monthly depending on your contract. Payments are made via BACS, usually within 24 hours of receiving funds from your agency or client.

Yes, eligible business expenses (like travel or accommodation) can be submitted to us. All claims must meet HMRC rules for umbrella workers.

Absolutely. As your employer, we provide employer’s liability, professional indemnity and public liability insurance as standard.

Yes. Every payment comes with a fully itemised payslip showing gross pay, deductions and net take-home.

If your assignment is “inside IR35,” we will deduct tax and NIC’s at source via PAYE. If it’s “outside,” different rules may apply. We assess your IR35 status before your contract begins.

For Agencies
How quickly can you onboard a contractor?

We can fully onboard a new contractor within 48 hours—complete with compliance checks, PAYE registration and insurance setup.

We’re fully aligned with IR35, the Employment Rights Bill and Making Tax Digital. We also maintain documented SDS reports and track legislative updates.

Each agency partner is assigned a dedicated account manager who will be your single point of contact for all queries and updates.

Absolutely.

General & Compliance

Our team monitors legislation closely. If rules change, we update your profile and notify you immediately, so you’re never caught off guard.
